Herbal smoke blends have a long tradition of sacred ritual and medicinal use. One of my favorite ways to interact with the plants and it’s healing magic. Traditions teach us many things about interacting with plant allies through smoke, both internally and externally. Some people believe the smoke carries prayers up to the Creator, while others focus on the medicinal parts being accessed quickly through the lungs.
Whether for daydreaming, meditation, or journey and dream work, this blend is pretty magical. If you desire to induce a lucid state for better dream recall, or work with strengthening your visionary abilities, this is a blend for you.
Damiana: traditionally used as a tonic for worn out nerves and depression, damiana is also one of the best herbs for cramp relief, irritability, and mood fluctuation around monthly cycles. It can increase intimacy and heighten the pleasures of intercourse. It's extremely relaxing, producing almost immediate feelings of well-being. Damiana is an aphrodisiac and adds to our revered sensuality. A base herb in this blend. Tastes great, burns well, and easy to roll.
Mullein: a lung tonic and reputable herb that greatly supports the respiratory system. Clears mucus and cleanses the lungs. Mullein is another base in this blend, adding a smooth and restorative quality to the smoke. Has lots of body and burns well.
Blue Lotus: this flower has strong psychoactive effects and known for it’s calming euphoria, sedation, and aphrodisiac qualities. Also known as Blue Water Lily, Egyptian Lotus, and Sacred Lily of the Nile. Shamans would utilize this sacred flower to reach higher levels of consciousness. It increases the potency of other herbs, without overwhelming them. In Egypt it was believed that gods provided humans with blue lotus as a way for the soul to leave the body and tap into other realms and dimensions. The sun-god Ra was born from a blue lotus, and in it’s glory flowers bloom from 8 am to noon. The flower is a symbol of the origins of life, but also represent the death and resurrection of Osiris, and thus symbolize eternal life, revival and reanimation. Other Egyptian gods were born from Blue Lotus or were seeking to transform themselves through it.
Mugwort: similar to cannabis, on a medicinal note. Dream enhancing herb. Aids in recollection. Relaxes the body. Also great for digestive issues and menstrual support.
Lavender: one of the most potent calming herbs. Adds much flavor to the blend. Relives painful headaches, muscle soreness, and anxiety.
