Steam Instructions:
- First, prepare your sacred space. Setting intentions, incense, meditative music, or whatever feels right for you.
- In a medium-covered pot, pour 8 cups of water (spring or distilled water).
- Place one-two handfuls of dried herbs into water. Do not add or use “essential oils” as they are too strong and may burn sensitive genital tissue.
- Bring water to a soft boil for 7-10 minutes.
Turn off heat, leave the lid on, and steep for another 5-7 minutes.
- It is very important to test the temperature of the steam before using it. If too hot, wait 30 seconds and test it again until it feels comfortably warm to steam with.
- Pour 4 cups (half) of water into a safe bowl, yoni seat, or you can also use the pot.
- Wave your hand 8-10 inches over the herbal water to make sure it is not too hot.
- Remove bottoms and sit on the seat above the steaming water. Or position into squat/child’s pose if no Yoni seat.
- Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist, down to the floor, to trap steam in.
- Make sure to keep yourself warm, keeping something on your feet (socks, slippers) and neck. You do not want any cold to get into your body while you are warming it.
- You should feel a warm, rolling heat for about 15-30 minutes.
- When steam decreases, dump water into toilet - or better yet, outdoors in the soil or at a tree.
Tea Instructions:
- Steep 1-2 tbsp in spring or distilled water, for 15-18 min. Covered.
- In-joy in pure form or sweetened with raw honey. Can be consumed any time of day for womb relief and restoration.
